The University of New Mexico College of Nursing is recruiting an Assistant Dean of Faculty Practice. The Assistant Dean will be responsible for establishing, growing, and maintaining CON’s clinical business infrastructure, supporting faculty practice contracts, and creating revenue-generating clinical services. The Program Specialist will lead a dedicated team that supports the clinical placement needs of our learners. The position is essential to helping advance the College’s mission of improving access to health care for all New Mexicans, including clinical experiences in rural and/or underserved communities. The UNM College of Nursing is seeking Training Project Consultants to assist with the Breastfeeding Child Health and Mammary Permeability (CHAMPS) study. The purpose of this study is to learn about how milk composition contributes to a new parent’s milk supply and how, in turn, human milk affects infant health and growth. Primary responsibilities for this position include conducting and/or assisting with prenatal and postpartum lactation support groups at local clinics, conducting home visits to collect research data and biological samples, and providing in-person lactation support as needed, working up to 10 hours per week.
