I joined CHEK-D in March 2024. Working for CHEK-D as a Research Coordinator has allowed me to expand my knowledge of health disparities in New Mexico. As a native New Mexican, I am passionate about helping my community and improving healthcare for all New Mexicans. I am excited about the work that CHEK-D is doing and I enjoy collaborating with other members of the team to help carry out study tasks. I graduated in May 2023 from UNM with my bachelor's degree in biology. I also have work experience as an EMT-B and laboratory technician that has given me an important foundation for supporting kidney disease research projects at CHEK-D.
