 Family medicine is most rewarding to me as I have the privilege to develop long-standing relationships with the community in the hopes of being a stable pillar they can rely on. I am extremely grateful to continue my medical training in New Mexico. Having lived in New Mexico for over 20 years, I am passionate about giving back to my home and community. Working at UNM and in New Mexico brings with it a diverse population provides many different viewpoints and opportunities that will prepare me well as a physician. Throughout my career, I have regularly worked with the unhoused population and plan to continue doing so in my residency career. I am also interested in preventative care and lifestyle medicine as a means for patients to have a more proactive approach in managing their health. As a family medicine physician, I am committed to advocating for equitable access to healthcare, working to reduce disparities and ensure that every patient, regardless of their background, receives the comprehensive care they deserve.
